Hi

I need help buying a coffee machine id preferably like a new one we have a machine at home and I did the Barista Basics Master Class recently (I loved every second of it best class in Melbourne). Anywho the Milk texturing technique doesn't work on my home machine as its not powerful enough. So I want to be able to hold the nosel just under the surface of the milk and watch the whirlpool go. Your probably going to ask what's my budget under say $500

Hi Sam, see www.baristabrothers.com for our article on choosing an espresso machine for home. For under $500, you can get a second hand Rancilio Silvia I would think. Make sure you get a grinder with it. New Silvia machines cost more than $800 and the Rocky grinder over $400 but the investment is worth it. The internet is abuzz with rave reivews of the Rancilio. It is one of the best machines in the sub $1000 category. Buying Italian is really the only way to go in my humble opinion!
Ok just had a dramatic budget change and increase always :). We have decided if we buy another machine we want a commercial machine (preferably Italian Made). It would nice to have 2 group heads. I need ideas where you buy these!
